About GuitarListings

GuitarListings is an independent directory and publication for guitar players. The site has three parts:

• The directory: guitar stores, general music instrument stores, music schools and lesson studios, and instrument repair shops across all 50 states, compiled from public map data including the Overture Maps Foundation dataset.
• Articles and guides: original, plain-language writing about buying guitars, learning to play, and maintaining instruments.
• Free tools: a chord transposer and capo calculator, a chord diagram library, and a metronome. All of them run entirely in your browser.

How listings work

Nobody can pay to be listed, ranked, or featured in the directory. Listings come from public data, and we do not accept payment to add, remove, or reorder them. Because the underlying data is public and businesses change, listings can be wrong or out of date; always verify details with the business before visiting.

How the site makes money

Some outbound links to products, apps, and services are affiliate links. If you buy or subscribe through one of them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never affect who appears in the directory or what our articles say. The full policy is in our affiliate disclosure.
